ARMED, UNARMED & NON-LETHAL WEAPONS OFFICERS
Crime Prevention Patrol Agency offers several options to meet you needs. Not sure which option is best for you? We will take the time to go over your needs, evaluate the area being protected and give you our recommendation based on our over 50 years as former Law Enforcement Officers. A minimum of two Supervisors will conduct the evaluation.
ARMED OFFICERS
We offer professional armed crime prevention officers, all armed officers are former or retired law enforcement officers or former military personnel. Armed officers must past both classroom and firing range training and must re-certify yearly. The Director is a SLED (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division) cerified firearms trainer.
UNARMED OFFICERS
If your needs are for unarmed officers we are able to provide trained, professional officers. All Crime Prevention Officers must meet on strict hiring guidelines and training requirements (some sites may not qualify for unarmed officers)
NON-LETHAL WEAPONS OFFICERS
Crime Prevention Patrol Agency officers a wide range of non-lethal type weapons to help ensure your safety and the officer's safety. All officers that carry any type of non-lethal weapon must be trained and certified in its proper use before being authorized to carry that weapon.
TYPES OF NON-LETHAL WEAPONS
Taser: Tasers are the best, most effective, non-lethal weapon available to get a combative or resisting person to stop. It is widely used by law enforcement throughout the country. Tarsers use an electric pulse that impedes the combative person's control thus allowing the officer to bring the subject under control ensuring the officer's safety, your safety and reducing possible injury to the subject. All officers that carry Tasers are required to take a training course to become certified.
Pepper Spray: Pepper spray is similar to mace and is a tool that is used to assist in getting a combative person to comply and stop resisting. All officers that carry pepper spray are required to take a training course to become certified.
Baton: Police type batons are another tool to help get an aggressively combative person to stop resisting and ensure officer safety. All officers that carry a baton are required to take a training course to become certified.
