Crime Prevention Patrol Agency takes great pride in their K-9 Unit. We currently have two K-9's in our unit. The handlers and K-9's are both fully trained and certified. They must meet strict weekly training guidelines and yearly re-certification.
Our K-9 Unit offers two types of K-9 services, one service is private drug detection for schools, business', clubs and homes. The second service offered is K-9 assisted patrols.
Drug Detection Services - Our K-9 Unit is committed to providing you with a way to ensure a drug free workplace, school or home. The use and sale of illegal drugs is prevalent and continues to be a problem facing all employers, school administrators and parents. In the workplace, using illegal drugs increase the likelihood of on the job accidents, decreased profits, loss of overall quality of work and productivity and can ultimately increase health care cost to your company. The Office of National Drug Control Policy, has shown that drug use in the workplace cost American Companies $100 Billion in lost profit each year. The damaging effects of drug addiction are equally costly to the family, often resulting in loss wages, social withdrawal, violence and suicide.
Crime Prevention K-9 offers the opportunity to find out if your employees, students or loved ones are using, shipping, selling illegal drugs without direct involvement with law enforcement. Our K-9 teams can be used to sweep offices, company parking lots, factories, schools, warehouses and lockers. We can perform searches during non-intrusive times to minimize the interruption of day-to-day activities or searches can be performed during prime working hours to maximize the effectiveness of deterrent
The Highest Standards - Utilizing only nationally certified dog and handler teams, the private sector retains this unique and highly effective service to sweep businesses, schools, commercial buildings, seaports and ships, cargo facilities, manufacturing facilities, motor vehicles, and private residences. These highly trained teams can quickly determine if illegal narcotics are, or were, in any given location with the ability to detect less than one gram to large quantities of illegal narcotic substances.
What Happens If Drugs Are Found? - If evidence of illegal activity is uncovered, the next course of action remains your decision.
Options would include: suspension, termination, drug rehabilitation, parent intervention (for students), or legal prosecution.
In many cases prosecution does ensue; however, we understand that a client's best interests may not always be served by legal intervention.
